Shannon & Chris’s November Wedding

We had the pleasure of working with Shannon and Chris last November as their day of coordinators. As both a couple and individuals, they had the most addictive personalities that you couldn’t help but laugh or smile in their presence. They exerted such happiness when you were around them that it made the day that much better to be a part of.
They kept the day very traditional by not seeing each other until Shannon walked down the aisle. The church was a beautiful, family church in downtown Lemont with lots of character to it. Afterwards, the bridal party boarded the trolley and took off through Lemont for photos. The reception took place at Cog Hill which is a charming venue with high beams and lots of windows for natural light. The day was captured through the lenses of GReyes Photography and the room was decorated through the talent of Petal Play Design (one of my favorite florists in the area).
One of the most unique things that happened at this wedding was a surprise pulled together by Chris and a handful of wedding guests. They pulled off a rendition of “Say a Little Prayer for Me” from the movie ‘My Best Friends Wedding’ complete with big hats, lobster claws and all.¬† Shannon was beyond moved and it was incredibly entertaining to watch, a first for us at a wedding for sure.
It was such a joy working with Shannon and Chris, thank you again for letting us be apart of your special day!
