Shannon and Dan (10/4/14)

Shannon and Dan’s wedding had a little bit of country and a whole lot of class.  We had such a great time coordinating their wedding.  The intimacy of this wedding was beautiful, which included Shannon’s Mother serving as Matron of Honor and Dan’s father as the Best Man.  Shannon had a distinct vision in her head how she envisioned her wedding.  With all the personal DIY touches throughout the day really made this wedding one of a kind.  The day started with Shannon and her maids getting ready in the Wedding Coup at Emerson Creek Pottery Barn.  This cute little space has been transformed into the perfect prewedding site.   George Street photography was there to capture all the fun, and essential moments of the morning and through out the day.

The bride carried one of the most beautiful broach bouquets I have ever seen.  Made from family heirlooms to flea market finds.  The bridal party wore a lovely shade of coral with a cream lace overlay and the gentlemen all looked dapper in their grey suites.  Shannon’s dress looked as light as air and she floated down the aisle.

The reception took place in the barn at Emerson Creek, and it was full of wonderful details.  Guest found their seats by folded “footballs”.  The inspiration came from when Dan and Shannon were in high school and passed notes to one another shaped in the traditional football shape.  Even their fur babies made an appearance being front and center on the top of the wedding cake.  An Etsy find that was truly adorable.  Wedding guest were asked to sign a square of cloth that Shannon plans of sewing together and making into a quilt, so the love of their family and friends can warm them when needed.   Jena and I had a blast decorating the barn with all of Shannon’s wedding items.

Guest danced the night away to music provided by Music by Deign.  I’ve never seen a bride and groom smile and have as much fun as Shannon and Dan.  Thank You for letting An Affair to Remember be part of this special day.
